Hey friends! My friends call me Ansku, but you can call me whatever you like. Currently living out my best life as a remigrant in Helsinki.

Born and raised in Finland, but left my country at the age of 19. I’ve lived my young “adulthood” abroad. I’ve done everything from bartending in the South of France to creating mosaic in the steps of favela in Rio. However, the majority of my time as a young adult I’ve lived in Lisbon, Portugal – looking over the most beautiful viewpoints and working with local communities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m using Couchsurfing to help out travelers whenever I can. I am NOT using it for any type of dating purposes. For safety reasons, I only host women, couples or non-binary people. Thank you for understanding! 💛

🏡 AS A HOST : I know what it is like to travel with a low budget, so that's why I want to help others, especially fellow solo travelers! I would also like to share my crazy Finnish culture with them, and break the stereotypes.

Couchsurfing has been a big part of my travels for several years now. I started as a young traveler, and my first couchsurfing trip was to Amsterdam. During the same year I couchsurfed around Europe and continued with hosting surfers in Lisbon years later. Up to this point, I've surfed in over 15 different countries around Europe/South America and still counting!

I'm passionate about my music! I grew up surrounded by metalheads (since Finland has the most heavy metal bands in the world), but I found my inner peace in reggae, old school hip hop, afrobeat and dancehall. After moving to Portugal, I fell for Afro house and Kizomba.
