Hei Hei, I'm Anna-Lena, originally from Germany and love to live in different places, meet people from various backgrounds and experience new cultures and regions. During my bachelor in Tourism I lived in the far north and far south of Germany and spend half a year in Paris. Having already been a big fan of France, I totally fell in love with the place. A job gave me the opportunity to live in Vienna for almost a year which now represents quite a competition for Paris when it comes to my favourite cities! Having lived in big European cities, after Vienna followed Berlin and because I missed it so much again Paris, I must say I love the metropolitan life. Loads of options, bars, a variety of different restaurants, concerts and most importantly people from all over the world make living in a big city very valuable for me. However, coming from a small mountain area I love to hike or mountainbike and usually start missing nature after a while. After finishing my studies in Berlin, I therefore totally left my comfort zone and travelled to reunion island on my own for two month. I totally enjoyed the peace of working on organic farms, beach hostels and hiking in an incredible surrounding. Next up: Vietnam and the rest of South East Asia

Interests

In general I love to be outside, whether going for a run, hike, mountain bike tour or just for a walk - I enjoy being one with nature. I also like to play tennis and used to play the clarinet in an orchestra.
As much as I like to be active I like to eat, preferably in good company. Trying out new vegetarian or vegan recipes, baking for friends and colleagues is what I like when being at home - or abroad !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling around the island of Zanzibar for 3 weeks, experiencing lovely people, stunning nature and wildlife and probably the most beautiful ocean - so far !

Being almost alone on the snowy Lofoten islands when travelling through the north of Norway off season.

Working in an organic garden for medical plants and learning about distillery of essential oils in the beautiful countryside of La Réunion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m not an expert in particular but love to try out new things together. Have been told that my vegan baking skills are not too bad :P
In general I like to cook, share a yoga session together or just exchange opinions and thoughts about different topics.
