About Me
Hey there :)
I'm Anna-Lena from Germany. I'd describe myself as an open-minded person and I'm very easy to get along with. I studied one semester in France and enjoyed meeting great people there and of course improving my French. I love traveling, discovering new cultures that is why I chose as a second exchange destination Russia more precisely Moscow (as it is a huge country ;)). I'm currently living in a Russian dorm and also there you'll usually see me smile. My biggest hobby is definitely rhythmic gymnastics which I'm practicing since I'm 7 years old - I even joined the rhythmic gymnastics team of the МГУ.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my friends taught me about Couchsurfing. He is traveling a lot and had great experiences with the people he met via Couchsurfing. I like the idea of meeting new people while traveling and getting an insight into another culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book genre is detective stories (currently I'm reading books of three series: Ostfriesen..., Lost in Fuseta and Denglers x. Fall).
For movies I prefer things like James Bond or Ocean's 11, but I also love watching series (Prison Break, How to get away with murder, Suits and Gossip Girl are some of my favorites)!
I like listening to the charts, some German artists and Russian Pop and Hip Hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When we were traveling in Gran Canaria and wanted to rent a car, we were discussing at which bus stop we should get off. A local followed our conversation, asked where we wanted to go and was super friendly - he took the bus with us together to the agency just to show us the way, although it wasn't in his direction. On the way he gave us some insider tips. It was a great experience to get unexpected help, for which we hadn't even asked.
Teach, Learn, Share
In my opinion a country doesn't exist only out of sights. Way more important are the people. Coachsurfing is the perfect way to get insights in another culture, learn from each other and share the home for a couple of nights.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can always share food with you, because food is life :D I could prepare some delicious plant-based meals and also teach you some of my favorite recipes, but if you'd rather go for a "normal" option, that's also fine for me.
Of course I can teach you some German and show you, that not all the stereotypes are true :)
