Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I would like to really get to know the culture of other countries and not just scratch the surface by visiting the top 10 sights listed by some travel blog. I love to meet new people with different mindsets which helps me to learn more about my own mindset. And one day, hosting people from all around the world in my own home!

Interests

I love to learn about everything and I'm passionate about anything that is presented to me by a passionate person.

I love to read, write, listen to music, watch movies. They are an escape from the dull everyday reality, which pulls you away from practicality and makes room for your creativity. So sometimes I can spend a day in my bed with tens of films, or with a sketchbook and doodle, write poetry.

I love to visit different restaurants, get familiar with different cuisines, I could call myself a foodie, but if that means taking pictures of my meal instead of chewing it and gasping with amazement, then I am not going to. As I work at one of the top restaurants in Estonia, I have recently found an interest in wines and microbrewery beers, so hit me up when you're in Estonia and I will show you the world of our awesome handcraft beers!

I love to travel as well, as I'm still young, I haven't yet got a chance to be a solo-traveller, but I have visited quite a few places with friends/family and just dive into the different and beautiful culture, architecture, people surrounding me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music, but everything mellow usually wins me over. To get a sense of my music taste, I can list some of my favourite artists like: Mac Demarco, Chopin, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Louis Armstrong, Eels, Alt-J, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Kendrick Lamar, every Quentin Tarantino's movie soundtrack, The Beatles, Guns&Roses, etc,.

Favourite movies include The Shawshank Redemption, ,the Wolf of Wall Street, Forrest Gump, Whiplash, The Fight Club, the Intouchables, Almost Famous, Pulp Fiction,12 Angry Men, Her, Into the Wild, Dallas Buyers Club, Schindler's List, The Pianist, Inception, Shutter's Island, LOTR and Harry Potter (Ode to childhood) and as I'm blanking out right now, I will stop.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my enthusiasm, a quirky and sometimes sarcastic humor, out of tune singing, pretty damn good cooking skills, great conversations and a shoulder to lean on and an ear that always listens and my snobby opinions on wine and beer.
