I’m a university student from the midwestern US aiming to travel sustainably and intimately! I study Global Studies and also Art, French, and Music, but am also very interested in environmental justice and linguistics. I really hope to do humanitarian aid work after university!

I believe in traveling slowly and making deeper connections with the places I’m going, with the land and the people! I always look for opportunities to make music with people, could be classical or karaoke or a jam session :) I prefer wandering over scheduled destinations, especially when wandering takes me to a park to read or a local pottery

Music, Movies, and Books

Jazz, funk, rock, and soul are what I like to jam along to but I’m also a classical musician and enjoy musicals! Some artists I like are Lake Street Dive, Sammy Rae, Chappell Roan, ABBA, The Last Dinner Party, WILLOW, Kate Bush .. good stuff

My go-to movies are Amélie, HP, Mamma Mia, Scott Pilgrim, Studio Ghibli, Rocky Horror. I really like mind bending movies like The Matrix or Inception but not so much psychological horrors (they do their job too efficiently in my brain)

I am a Big fan of books. Braiding Sweetgrass (Robin Wall Kimmerer) may be my favorite for the year, but past favorites have been by David Sedaris, Sarah J. Maas, and Ruth Ozeki.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked on a pirate ship for a short time and want to go back ASAP!
