I think couchsurfing is the best way to travel because you get to know amazing places but also amazing people! I also love to experience "hidden" spots! I also like it the way you are not only visiting a place, you experience it and you explore it. I think its a nice way for local people to explore their hometown completly different and to see it through the eyes of someone who hasn't been there yet.
I'm not hosting people by myself yet because I'm living with a hostfamily at the moment and back in germany with my family.
But I'm looking forward to host when i get my own apartment! :)
