About Me

I am Anna, from France (Nantes) !
I love travelling, meeting new people, and have a good laugh ! I am used to travel with people (through Europe, Australia, South America etc...), but I have now decided to experienced a solo travel. I believe that traveling alone is one of the best way to meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a great experience and an excellent way to meet people and learn more about the city and life there. Meeting locals is the best way to provoke actual intercultural meetings.

Interests

I play basketball since I am 5 years old. Most of my time, I played in France, in Nantes. I also played a year in Estonia, Tallinn, while I was doing an Erasmus there.

I traveled a lot, for diverse reasons. I went to South America and Australia several times to meet family and friends there. I've also traveled a lot through Europe, in holidays, and especially while I was doing my Erasmus (one in Estonie, and one in Croatia, in total for two years). I've also been to Ivory Coast for an internship in an association promoting and defending women rights.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't think I have a favorite movie, but I do have some directors I really like : Xavier Dolan, Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson...

Concerning music, I can listen a bit of everything. I would say that my favorites lately are Las Yegros, Lomepal and Gaël Faye.

My favorite book is "Brothers" from Yu Hua, following the story of two boys growing up in China, before, during and after the cultural revolution. It is an impressive book, well written and emotional one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's a lot of things I could talk about, but I think that one of my best time was when I was doing my Erasmus in Tallinn, Estonia. The city is absolutely amazing, the climate is so different from France that it really changes your way of life. It was also the possibility to meet new people, locals and people from all over the world. I have been able to travel to many places, and it was absolutely awesome.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share talks about everything that crosses our minds. I love debates (and by that, I do not mean necessarily two persons from different sides), to be able to see all the views on the different subjects, which I think, is really important knowing that not everyone have the same reality of life.

We can also share good meals, I like to cook, and I like to discover new types of cooking.

I'm open to a lot of things, proposals etc..
