About Me
GREETINGS FRIEND!
My name is Anna and I am a 29 year old Canadian woman who finished backpacking through South East Asia to play some Ultimate Frisbee tournaments.
I am currently working and living in Toronto, Canada.
I was living out of a backpack for 19 months and I could not be happier. My friends told me about all the amazing things Couch Surfing has to offer and I want to seize this opportunity to meet locals and immerse myself in their culture by eating local delicacies and exchanging stories.
I was born and raised in Toronto, which is a giant melting pot of different ethnicities and I am blessed to have grown up with open-minded people. I had a really good job back home but there was always a passion for travelling and so I uprooted all the way across the world.
I spent a year working and living in Melbourne which is one of the best cities in the world. I met great people in the Ultimate Frisbee community and the hospitality industry. It is with a heavy heart that I had to leave but that is ok! I am ready to backpack through South East Asia because I am not ready to go home yet.
So far, I have been doing hostels in every city I have travelled in, but I think that Couch Surfing can really bring a unique experience and perspective as a solo traveller. And I hope to bring a unique perspective and refreshing breath of life into your home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Immerse myself in cultures and cuisine that I am unfamiliar with.
Interests
I was travelling around Asia to play Ultimate Frisbee tournaments. But in-between my tournaments, I like to explore on foot to find good places to eat. Or getting lost and discovering hidden gems. I also enjoying talking to other travellers because a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet. Everybody has a story to tell, and I am a great listener.
I enjoy beginning my morning with a cup of tea. I usually save my coffee intake for the afternoon if I need one. I want to say I can say I practice yoga and meditation, it is something I wish to practice more of now that I have a lot of time on the road. I am also trying to live a more sustainable lifestyle by being a conscious consumer. I want to consume less in general. And I would also like to begin to live a less materialistic life. Less is more, right?? Maybe we can help create less clutter in our lives together.
When I am out in the evening, I like looking for live music venues and sipping on whatever suits my palate. I enjoy a drink here and there but I never look to get wasted. Just enough so I can dance like nobody is watching. Love me some jazzy tunes or some funk!
When I am not out and about, I enjoy tuning out and listening to Nujabes or whatever suits my mood. Even the occasional silly cartoon in the background.

Currently enjoying Gavin Turek's music. Specifically the song Whitney. It's a feel good, nu-disco track that just puts me in a great mood.

Been a fan of Pulp Fiction and all Tarantino flicks (but I haven't seen True Romance, Dusk til Dawn, Hateful 8 yet.. 😶)

Let me walk your dog for you because I'll probably have even more fun than the dog. But yeah, really down to help with anything because I am just thankful for a roof over my head.
