New to couchsurfing, but one has to start at some point!

I recently came back from Spain and now looking for a job as a biologist. In the meantime, or later in between, I like travelling and meeting new people from all over the place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because just being a tourist in a place is dreadful. An important part of a country are the people, and I'd like to get to know them and see their view of their town/country/world, which is so much more interesting than going from one tourist-trodden sight to the next (would like to see some of them, too, though ;) )

Currently I can't host anyone because I'm living with my parents... ^^°

Interests

In my free time I like to play on stage, or sing with other people (choir), or just quietly sit at home and read. Or knit, watching Dr. Who, Star Trek (whichever), and stuff. Meet up with friends, cook together, drink together...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I was a metal fan when I was younger, but nowadays I listen to various stuff (still including metal, like Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Metallica...). I like Harry Potter (the books!), Lord of the Rings and most Discworld books.
Seems I sort of like fantasy and SciFi in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Iceland for five months. I thought that was pretty awesome!
