Hello!

I'm originally from London, but spent the last 10 years in Edinburgh in Scotland! I moved there for uni but ended up staying a few extra years as I loved it so much! But I moved away 3 months ago to go travelling! I'm currently travelling around Australia, and my plan is to save up some money here and spend a year or 2 travelling back to the UK over land and sea (no flights!) and make a blog / documentary about activism, politics, reporting on social movements, social uprisings, social injustice, corporations destroying the environment, trying to share whats going on in remote communities with the world. But also on the positive side, I want to visit places where people are taking control of their lives, sustainable, green living, campaigners that are making the world a better place! I'm actually going to start my blog in Australia, writing about things like the conditions that the Aboriginals are living in, the conditions at the refugee detention centers, forest destruction for coal and gas mining, and the destruction of the great barrier reef. I'm interested in everyone's opinions on these things! But I'm not all about depressing global issues! I love music, cooking, seeing the great outdoors, walking, camping, independent films and the occasional glass of wine!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to really experience the countries I visit by staying with locals, I'm not interested in the usual 'backpacker' experience of living in hostels and only meeting travellers! I think couchsurfing gives both the host and couchsurfer the opportunity to learn lots about the world! And I love hearing local's recommendations about things to see and do! I've stayed with quite a few locals I've met through friends and recommendations, but haven't officially couchsurfed yet!

Hitchhiked from Belgium to Romania, and then back to the UK. It took several days each way, and a couple of nights sleeping outside in petrol stations!

Organised a flashmob of 40 dancing robots in Edinburgh which got in the newspapers! (I have awesome videos of this!)
