About Me

update: Dear Travelers, I’m taking a break from hosting this summer so I can travel. I might open my doors if I know I’ll be around or I might be able to hang out and show you around if you are in town. take care.

Hello all,
I’ve met great people through this site and look forward to meeting you. I moved to Geneva in 2020 for a UN position. I like to bicycle, dance, garden, hike, cook, play board games, see live music shows, and explore new places. I value communication, science, organic food, local production, wild nature, accidental art, beauty, grittiness, adequate organization, not following the rules and simplicity/practicality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up in a household that always had travellers visiting and I'd like to foster that sense of community and sharing in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

My go-to genres in music are jazz, blues, oldies, punk, swing, world, and 90's. This week I'm listening to Goat, This is Zaz, Elza Soares, Violent Femmes and Dhaka Brakha.
Go-to genres in books are Science-fiction, fantasy and creative non-fiction. I am currently reading La Place de la Concorde Suisse by John McPhee. I recently finished The Broken Earth Trilogy by NK Jemisin and Talking To Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell.
Go-to genres for movies are: anything not mainstream, off-beat humour, sci-fi, cerebral (is that a genre?). Recently watched The Father and Nomadland.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mi Casa es su casa. I always have coffee and you can use basic kitchen amenities.
I love to exchange music and I have some board games to play. I usually don’t have time to show you around, but I’m happy to give advice about where to go.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain
