Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am on couchsurfing because its the best way to get in contact with new people and learn from their lifestyle and culture. It is another way how to see a place I visit because then I do not only see all the Tourist places but maybe get some Insider tips about a certain place.
And I like to host people to show them my home and give them some knowledge about Germany especially because I got to know so many nice people in India who were always so helpful and hospitable!

Interessen

I engage myself in a local group which informs about indigenous people and minorities whose rights are denied. The Organisation is called "Society for threatened people" and we regularly organise events or movies to inform about the minorities etc.
Moreover I am interested in cooking with my friends and watching Bollywood movies!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I think living in India for 9 months and teaching English in an area where people never have seen foreigners before was absolutely interesting. I lived under simple conditions in a village where almost nobody speaks English. I had to learn Kannada and I had to adapt a lot to their culture by wearing Indian dresses. I also learned a lot about myself in the last months and I am so thankful for all these experiences and as far as I can tell India is one amazing thing I've done. :)
