Overview
About Me
Bit of an itchy feet sort! Throw myself into everything I do, and very much a "people person". Like to challenge myself and do new things. I generally travel alone, deliberately to expose myself to more new experiences and people.
I've been working in education for the past 3 years, tutoring and supporting learning for those who struggle. Currently working with students excluded from mainstream schools. My students tell me I'm weird and I look like a hippy. I'm cool with that.
Also find these things really hard... feel like I'm joining a dating website!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel in an authentic way, meeting people and experiencing local culture rather than staying in hostels. I also want to offer people the experience of somewhere free to be to explore Yorkshire (Leeds and the countryside very close!)
Joining now was triggered by thinking about a sabbatical year I'm spending in Asia, God willing, in 2018.

Teach, Learn, Share
"We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love."
What I Can Share with Hosts
Does this mean what I can offer to help out?? English language, childcare (I've been an au pair before), tutoring for children (or adults) in a range of subjects (all done in English though!).
Oh and an amazing German card game called Bohnanza! It's epic.
