I am born and bred in Hong Kong with parents originally from Finland, where I spent a few years when I was very young. I've generally been on the move since finishing high school in HK and have lived and studied in a few different countries since then - which I've absolutely loved - and have become pretty incapable of sitting still for very long, which is a trait I'm not at all unhappy with!

But now it's time to head on a different kind of adventure and see some new and never before seen places, which I'm crazy excited about. On the list are California, Yosemite, Argentina, Chile and something else...Bolivia maybe? I like to let things happen in their own way - you usually end up where you should.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm heading off on a 4 month adventure starting on the West Coast of the States and then flitting down to South America. Am really excited to meet like minded (or not!) people and just experience places I've never been with the help of locals. I've always preferred fully immersing myself into places and cultures with people rather than seeing them through hotel and generic restaurant windows!

Interests

Languages, theatre, live music, horse riding, hiking, nature, sustainability, reading and all forms of dancing. Most of all, meeting people who challenge me in any and every which way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What I'm doing right now feels pretty amazing. Riding a horse through the desert in Egypt is probably the most alive and free I've ever felt. Hiking around the Matterhorn in Switzerland also definitely qualifies. Anywhere I've been at the foot of or on a mountain is beyond amazing to me. Nature porn is something I'm generally looking out for.
