Hello, I'm Anna! I grew up in a beach town called Plettenberg Bay in South Africa, but am now based in Cape Town. This is an incredible city that brings together culture and nature. It circles an impressive mountain, is surrounded by the sea, and has a great coffee culture as well as a vibrant nightlife. If you are ever traveling to this part of the world I would love to give you some local tips!
I have recently graduated as an engineer, and am currently taking some time to work and travel in Europe. I have been working in France for the winter and will now be heading for Italy in May/June.
I am game for all sorts of adventures - in cities and nature. I will always be down to watch a sunrise or sunset, have a good chat, climb a mountain, or head out for a few drinks. I will be traveling with my older brother for this period, and we are hoping to enhance our experience of Italy by meeting locals who are keen to share some of their local knowledge or join in on some of our adventures. We are both friendly, interested in arts and culture (especially food!), and keen for mountain/city/sea-based adventures.

A few years ago I did a multi-day cycle, which was 800 km on back roads in South Africa. On one of the nights, I was hosted by a farmer who I connected with through couch surfing. It was such a wonderful experience and a way to meet and learn about another person, their life, and their culture. Soon after I hosted a woman traveling to Cape Town from Germany. This too was wonderful, I was able to share some of the parts of the city and country I love and live in with a person from a very different background. These interactions are ones I'll never forget! I'm here to hopefully have many more experiences like these!
