Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few years ago, the first sentence I wrote in this field was: "I've started to feel that one of my jobs is making my IQ level hit the ground so I need a break in some stimulating environment."
Now I'm a PhD candidate. Couchsurfing worked I guess 🤷
I think that travelling and meeting new people is just such a positive thing that it does good things to your brain 😁
Interests
Recently I got into a new hobby, which is bikepacking - travelling by bike and camping in nature. I have always loved travelling on a budget, including sleeping in unusual places, so bikepacking is a natural extension of that.
I have always been interested in science, so I've started a PhD in natural sciences. I'm interested in everything related to bacterial DNA and... sewage 😅
Environment is very important to me and that's why I'm vegetarian for a few years now and I don't own a car (noting that I am extremely blessed to live in a city with bikelanes and good transit). I just love bikes and trains and I hope that in a near future raiway will replace at least some airplanes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
Low budget horrors (The Visit, Unfriended), horrors in general (Us), psychologically thrilling movies (Silence of the Lambs, We need to talk about Kevin, Fight Club) and some uncategorized ones: Trainspotting, The Worst Person in the World - the latter beeing my favourite film to watch on good days.
I also really enjoyed Barbie
Series and shows:
RPDR, The Maid, Girls, Fleabag
Books:
I love reading about true stories in reportages and biographies but recently I discovered my emotional side and read "How I didn't kill my father and how much I regret it" and cried and laughed for four hours straight.
Music:
Viking folk, white voice, Polish black metal (Batushka), movie soundtracks, classical music, but also my own Spotify playlist "Muza do multipli" including Britney and Todrick Hall.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used my very poor Italian, I was studying years ago, to communicate with people in Italy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always recommend my friend Bysztof Krzator's music - check him out on Spotify!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a watchful observer of life and I would be happy to share some of my funny anecdotes. I can also explain how bacteria work :D
I am also a nice cup of coffee enthusiast and it happens that I live in Warsaw with quite a few pretty good roasteries, and coffee beans are my favourite gifts to give 😏
