About Me

After finishing my studies of communication design in 2014, I am currently working as a junior art director in an advertising agency.
Before I moved here almost five years ago I was doing a voluntary social year working in Brussels in a home for mentally handicapped people.
I live in Berlin since october 2011. Eventually my heart was set on this city and even though I was born and raised in Munich, I see Berlin as my hometown at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of people supporting each other while getting to know the world is beautiful and I like to be a part of that.
I have only one Couchsurfing Experience so far, but I would love to gain some more :)
Some friends of mine use this community to host and to surf, so I sometimes meet Couchsurfers who are staying at my friends' homes. It usually is really fun to meet new people and share some good stories with them.

Interests

When I am not working, sleeping or hanging around with my friends, I like to be creative, trying new stuff and thinking about how to realise some of my ideas.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like films in general, some of my favorite directors and/or screenwriters are Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Ulrich Seidl and Lars von Trier. Sometimes I also secretly watch cheesy romcoms. The best films I have seen so far are the ones that are in some way artistically valuable for me, for example because they use a special cinematic narrative, camera work, cut or use of music. Or of course because they create a special feeling while watching them.
I enjoy creating playlists on spotify and researching music for random themes (for example a set of playlists, each representing my personal impression and imagination of the feeling of every country – I already have my Russia and my China playlist).
I also like watching series. Some of my favorites are e.g. Six Feet Under, House Of Cards, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, Fargo, Der Tatortreiniger, Californication...
I have to confess that I am reading not very much. I listen to audio books instead, mostly contemporary literature, to keep me up-to-date. I buy books, but they are all non-fiction (about illustration or other interesting topics).
