About Me
Hi, my name is Anna, I'm 29 and I'm from Germany. Even though I was born in Germany and lived there most of my life, it didn’t feel like home for a long time. I always had a passion to experience new places, the people and their culture. Of course I enjoy visiting some sights whenever I get to a new place, but the true experience I'm craving is connecting with people, seeing how they live, what they cook, how they spend a night out and their favorite spots and places in the city they live in, that can't be found in any tourist tour or Lonely Planet :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new open minded people, see how they live, give them an insight into how we live, to connect, share and get to know each other. I'm really outgoing and curious, so couchsurfing allows me to connect with like minded people all around the world. I also think hospitality is so important in times where so many people are very focused on a financial, rather than an emotional/experiential benefit. After all, for me personally, what makes life beautiful is human connection.
Interests
Sustainability, cooking, traveling, meditation and other mindfulness practices, reading, dancing, taking a billion pictures of sunsets (everyone tells me most of them look the same, but they absolutely don't haha), spending time with my loved ones, meeting new people, hiking, spending time in nature by myself or surrounded by good people, yoga, writing, concerts, good food, embodiment

Music, Movies, and Books
I love indie, folk, reggae, campfire music :) ... I think with books, movies and music it really depends on the mood I'm in. I go through phases where I am obsessed with a topic/type of music or I'm just in a really specific mood, and then I'm binge listening/reading/watching everything according to that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finally decided to leave Germany to travel, see new places, meet amazing new people, learn new things, try new food, get rid of most of my belongings and experience a new form of freedom.
In Australia I worked as a chef in a vegan cafe/juice and smoothie bar, it was the best job I ever had, and I learned from it that sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Of course I can teach you some funny words in German! Also how to make bracelets and some delicious vegan recipes. I’m being trained to be a Pantarei Practitioner, an embodiment approach that really inspires and touches me, so I can offer Pantarei Sessions that are a little like a massage, just better! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Delicious vegan cooking skills, a positive, open minded personality, someone who wants to explore this new place together with you. I really "travel people" more than I travel places. Experiencing all the amazing things a new place has to offer through the eyes of a local is one of my most favorite things ever :)
