In July and August I'll be traveling the west coast of the USA and Maui, after 1 year of being an au pair in New York. After the summer I'm going back home and continue my studies.

I used to work as a nurse. I worked in different homes, people recovering and trying to live with the after effects of a stroke, people suffering from different types of cancer, alzheimer's and dementia. It was a heavy job, but a fulfilling one.

Since I was 10 I've been with the scouts. We sailed, had the best summercamps and I made friends for life. With scouting you can make friends everywhere! I've been a scoutsleader for 5 years to kids from the ages 6-10.

I'd like to meet the locals instead of hiding out in a hotel. I've never done couchsurfing before, but once needs to be the first time right?

I once sailed for 24 hours straight for a fundraiser for my scouts group and I saw the sun go down and come up again.

I also used to be a nurse and I cared for demented people, people suffering from the aftereffects of a stroke, people who have cancer. The all over work I did for them was amazing, how they let me help them in their time of need.

I can tell a lot about my home country of course, everyone visiting have to try a 'broodje kroket'! I grew up in the tulipbulb area.
