About Me
My husband and I are both from Riga, the capital city of Latvia - one of the three Baltic countries. While some may perceive Balts as impulsive Eastern Europeans, we are more nordic - meaning super relaxed and somewhat reserved in nature but in a positive way. The worst 20 seconds of Nordic's day is sharing an elevator with a stranger.
We are super easy, respectful and outgoing people, we love a good chat and making new friends during our amateur travels and we are genuinely interested in learning more about local culture and what daily life looks like in other parts of the world.
Drinks, food, conversations and music are the basics for any good night either in or out :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im trying to restore faith in humanity and wanted to prove to myself that there are awesome people all over the world. So far couchsurfing has been an absolutely positive experience for both welcoming surfers and staying with fantastic hosts. I love positive people, and I am super happy that some of the folks we got to know through Couchsurfing have become lifelong friends.
Currently in the house-building process, looking forward to welcoming you guys in 2024.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got a corgi, his name is Zuko (as The Fire Lord). He totally lives up to the name, yet he is the cutest little loaf.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that the best way to truly immerse yourself in a new culture is by sharing experiences and knowledge with a local. Overall, I think that couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay, but also about making connections and sharing experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are very respectful of your space and happy to help out around the house or with any tasks you may need assistance with. Open to teaching you a bit of my language and Latvian cuisine :)
