Hello CSing World - My name is Anna and I am traveling with my housemate and best friend Allie. We recently graduated from University with our second degree. We were very involved at school, always interacting with fellow students, leading organizations and attending various events. We studied in Panama and Costa Rica where we discovered our deep love for travel, that inspired the 4-month "victory lap" that we are currently on. We love meeting new people, sharing stories/ideas/experiences and making friends. We work in tourism and value the connections of travel, both personally and economically. This passion drives us to immerse in every way we can.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Before joining the CSing community, we've always been ones to host any family and friends that want to visit the city of New Orleans. When we make a new friend, one of the statements we always say, (and mean) is "if you're ever in New Orleans, you always have a sofa with us." We've decided to make that official by joining the international community.

The second reason for joining is that we are traveling through Europe for two months, and couldn't think of a better way to meet people than with the personal experiences of staying with locals that are as passionate about sharing their homes and cities with others as we are ours.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My favorite books would currently be Neverwhere. Good Omens, Ricky Ticky Tavi, and the movie/book Unbroken (it's fantastic) My best friend and I mostly listen to Audible books as we travel and drive at home. Our music taste is all over, we love good live music of any kind - anything that has good rhythm and that the performer puts their heart and soul into.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

My family and I went sky-diving in Las Vegas, USA! I was so incredibly nervous, but it was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. It was my first time, so I had a guide going tandem with me. When he pulled the shoot and we were over-looking the stunning skyline, he changed my life with a quote from Leonardo da Vinci -

"Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the Earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."
