About Me

I am generally really shy at first but connect really quickly with people as soon as we get to know each other. I love traveling and believe it is the best way to spend your time alive.

I am currently studying at Niagara College in Canada. And I was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. I love learning different languages and that is another reason I love traveling.

I love making photos, though I am by no means professional. I usually take photos with my phone and this is my way to express my emotions in the moment.

I have Bachelor's in Korean language and literature and I am generally very interested in different aspects of Korean culture, especially food. Though, I am still struggling with Korean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often travel by myself and Couchsurfing is a great way to add colors to the trip. I had heard a lot of fun things about it and my friends seem to enjoy it a lot. I would like to meet new people from the area I'm traveling too. It is really great when there is someone who can give you advice about sightseeing or even go with you!

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not have preferences in terms of music genre, I basically listen to everything that seems nice to me.
My favorite movie is "The Imitation Game" and my favorite book is "The Little Prince".
I am a great movie fan overall, I go to the cinema several times a week when I can afford it.
In terms of literature, I like to think I read a lot of classics, especially Russian, but every now or then I read a detective or novel by not-so-famous authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think, there are 2, but they are connected.
1) I managed to live in South Korea by myself for 4 months when I was 19. It was my first time living without my parents and I am really glad I had that experience in the whole different country.
2) I am studying and working in Canada now. It may seem regular and not very special, but it did take me a lot of effort to be here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Russian, Ukrainian and basics of Korean as I have a bit of teaching education. I think I can learn more from the host than they can from me because I am a regular 20-something-years old student, who has not figured out life yet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely share stories from different countries as I have been to quite a few. Also I can share my experience and knowledge on Asian cultures as it was my major in and I know something about it :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belarus, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
