I live an active life and love to Kayak and would like to learn other paddling sports. I am currently studying at City College and learning everything I can about Upholstery.
I love to learn and believe that if I don't learn something everyday, I am missing out on life.
I am an Airbnb Superhost for my home in Palm Desert, CA. So I know how to take good care of a place and although new to Couchsurfing, I am experienced at home sharing.
I have 2 cats, one of which I am trying to teach to kayak.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have recently started taking solo trips and want to do more. I don't want to be stuck in a hotel room nor do I want to spend money that way. I have an ORU kayak that I travel with and want to road travel and kayak. I feel I only need a place to sleep, a hose to rinse off my kayak and local people sharing what to experience while in their area. Although, I may have a destination, I want to stay off large highways and be open to exploring.

I have a huge amount of general knowledge, I know a lot about etiquette, interior design, fashion design, fabrics, crafts and how to use tools. I have been a Realtor and have worked in a Hardware store. I have worked at Ski areas in Vermont, restaurants and bookstores.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very handy and physically strong and love to help people with tasks they may not be able to complete alone. I would be willing to give a person a few hours off from care-taking a loved one, respite care.
