All of my friends and my relatives call me Panka, but since I've been travelling, I intorduce myself as Anna, which is my first name. It's esier to understand. No one called me Anna before, and I feel I'm a bit loosing my personality... and it's super good (and weird at the same time). More than ten months ago, I decided to shave my head, I caught a train to Germany, and a plane to Mexico and my journey started: around the world and obviously around myself, and in myself... to get to know who is Panka, who is Anna - who is me. In the first three months I was traveling with my lovely mate from Poland, but in Colombia we wanted to check how're things going if we split. I'm still on the way, I still have plenty of place to see, and experiences to collect, so it seems, it works.

I have no idea about the return to Hungary, return to Europe, return to anywhere. Probably one day I'll wake up, and just buy a ticket back to Budapest, without any preparation - but till that day, I have lots of country to explore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because it's a super opportunity to share experiences, cultures, times, habits, foods, rooms - everything. It's also good chance to save money too ... I know it doesn't sound gererous, but it's not the last consideration either.

Since I'm not at home, I can't acommodate anyone, but my room is empty in my parent's house (in Csobánka - 25 km far from Budapest), so we can try to find a solution.

I really don't care if someone just needs a room for one night, and doesn't wanna get to know me just have a rest, and the next day go further. I know it's not about me, and I absolutely understand it. But of course I more than happy to go for sightseeing, and show nice places, or just take nice trips around the beautiful hills in the Pilis. I don't mind either if someone is on a really low budget, and in his/her trekking outfit doesn't feel comfortable to go out, or have a posh lunch in a fancy restaurant. (We can cook together, you can cook for yourself, I can cook for us, or you can feel free to do whatever you want.) That is couchsurfing for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hitchhiking trough whole Mexico and Belize with my travelmate, and after in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay alone. I met with so many incredibly helpful, funny, wise, kind and nice people. It would be so hard to highlight any of these stories, but I promise, if we meet, and you are curious, I will share with you.
