Overview
About Me
I am generally regarded as an energetic, loyal and full of optimism person, and I would agree with that opinion. I am friendly and tolerant of the views of others. But sometimes I feel a little bored, sometimes sad. In general, however, able cope well with the various challenges of everyday life. Recent retirement is a pleasure rather than a disaster.
I am constantly curious of the world, willing to travel, fond of music and reading, I can also cook. Do not spend time shopping, tv does not amuse me. I wear casual clothes, but I can celebrate special occasions with appropriate appearance.
I am independent and I appreciate my situation. Also, I appreciate the friendship and loyalty of the people around me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd wish to start doing it this time, during my Jan - Feb travels in the US. Mostly, I'm going to stay with friends, but where that is not possible, it'd be much nicer for me not to be alone in a hotel, but be a guest of someone who's prepared to offer a couch to a traveller on her own. The financial side of the setup is also considered.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not exactly amazing, but in 2007 I travelled on the Trans-Siberian Express entirely on my own, and very much enjoyed the time on the train. Getting my ticket alone in Shanghai was not easy, but I was determined to do so, and succeeded!
