Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled some places and been hosted by wonderful people from Istanbul to Paris to Guatemala City. I was lucky to meet some of the most amazing, interesting, kind-hearted children of the universe.

I am currently hosting surfers in Budapest.

I can show you around in Budapest, and we can go on a hiking adventure, or visit a local crag, if you’re into climbing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I found somebody's dad, whom he has never known, in a far away country with the help of the CouchSurfing community, (Thank you Anita Kassem Kashmiri for all your help and support!!) It was a very touching experience for everyone involved. Witnessing the first phone call between father and son was one of the most emotional moments of my life.

Apart from this, I am still yet to do amazing things.

Update: I just did something amazing again! I returned a lost homing pigeon (after it was hanging around on my balcony and trying to come in to my house for 3 days) to its owner by bicycle. Thus the weirdest thing I've ever transported by bike is now homing pigeon in huge carton box, holding the box in one hand, balancing the bike with the other, and trying to ride as gently as possible, constantly assuring the poor thing that we're almost there... :)

Update 2. : apparently I’m pretty good at tracking down lost relatives of people. I have found the long lost half-sister of someone, with very limited data to start the search with. So if you want to find your long lost cousin, or brother from another mother, hit me up! Seriously. I see what I can do;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: cooking yummy easy veggie dishes, making macramé jewelry, basic crocheting, tying basic knots 🪢 for mountaineering

I want to learn: more about analogue photography, more about climbing, alpinism, bushcraft
