ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Anna and I currently live in Tallahassee, FL. I'm a health educator and communication specialist by day and roller derby player by night. On my free time I enjoy to adventure into the nature, sports/fitness, and traveling. I really enjoy getting to learn other people's cultures. I also love to take photos so I always am carrying my camera with me. My dream would be to purchase an RV and travel around the United States until I saw what I wanted to see then start backpacking other countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand spankin' new at Couch Surfing. I have a friend who has hosted a numerous amount of people and his stories inspire me to start surfing!

Interests

I love anything outdoors as you read in my personal description. Hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, biking, goodness the list goes on. I'm not a big party person so when I go out to enjoy the night life I typically get tired and head home before midnight. I'm also interested in my personal fitness so I enjoy working out and finding new ways to exercise rather then the typical gym experience. I also like to play with graphics software on the computer, such as Photoshop, to design fliers, posters, logos, videos, etc. I'm not formally trained in graphic design but I very much so enjoy it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not the biggest reader (shame on me) but I do love health books, and anything Chuck Palahniuk writes. For music I prefer to listen to rap/hip hop, R&B, and the occasional pop. I'm not the biggest movie watcher either but I love me some good indie films, documentaries, and comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently traveled to Ireland this past St. Patrick's Day (2012). I went with my Aunt and her Husband. We had an amazing experience. We stayed in Dublin but did several day trips traveling to Northern Ireland to see the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Giant's Causeway, and Belfast. We also went to Western Ireland to explore the Cliffs of Moher, Galway Bay, and the Burren. We also explored Dublin numerous days going to the typical touristy places such as Jameson Distillery, Guinness Storehouse and all the other sites in between. This was my first experience with international travel and it makes me want more!

Another experience in my life that left me awestruck was the time I visited my friend in Oregon in 2004. I have never seen a more beautiful state! We did a lot of exploration of the mountains (we don't have anything like that in Florida so even the littlest of a hill excited me), we went to Crater Lake (one of the most beautiful places ever, a MUST for any traveler), traveled to see the Redwoods in Northern California, and explored the local cities. I enjoyed myself immensely.
