To LIVE! I have spent most of my life in the states, so this trip to Germany is a chance to experience something different!

ABOUT ME

I am an open-minded recent college graduate. I enjoy the outdoors, going to pubs, sightseeing, and otherwise finding adventure. I love animals and meeting new people, and I love music. While I'm traveling, I want to see the tourist sights, but I mostly want to get a feel for the culture in each new place!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am traveling currently (I joined CS so I could get to know people in Germany - I'll be traveling through the country for a couple of months), so I am currently surfing. When I return to the states, I'll host, and am mostly interested in getting to know new people, and experiencing new things.

I'm a singer (opera and blues), and I love just about anything to do with music. I also like reading and going out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Movies: The Three Amigos, Amelie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Secretary, I love a good action movie (e.g. the Bourne movies), and I also enjoy romantic comedies (like Love Actually). But any kind of comedy usually makes my night!
Music: I have wide tastes. Radiohead, Elina Garanca, Citizen Cope, Tori Amos, Indigo Girls, u2, Ray Lamontagne, Cecilia Bartoli, Joyce DiDonato, Big Maybelle, and NINA SIMONE!
Books - I mostly like stories. I will sometimes read a reference book, but what keeps me turning pages is a good plot, interesting characters, and a surprise every once in a while. I've been reading Game of Thrones for a while, and can't wait for the next one to come out, and I have also just read The Name of the Wind/The Wise Man's Fear, so I'm waiting for the next one to come out in that trilogy. I guess that paints me as reading a lot of fantasy. But I also enjoy books without kingdoms and swordfights. I just read The Museum of Innocence (Orhan Pamuk), and I LOVE John Irving novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Vatican museum (Italy) was incredible. I've never seen so much amazing artwork in one place. I also loved the Cliffs of Moher (Ireland) - they took my breath away. Art, architecture, and natural beauty are all on the top of my list.
