Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are living in Paris for a year from September 2013 - time to learn French, try some different jobs and travel in Europe!
ABOUT ME
We are easy-going, open minded and generally eager to make the most of our travelling experience. We are grateful for any local (or other) input into our plans. We love to meet new people and enjoy chats about life and learnings, sport, politics, or anything else that arises.
PHILOSOPHY
Still developing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've been lucky enough to stay with hosts one or two times, but we are keen to meet people in Paris and hopefully practice (and improve!) our French.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We are fairly new to couch surfing but have had one great experience and have heard plenty of wonderful stories from our family and friends - we are looking forward to becoming part of the community and hopefully hosting ourselves one day (once we are settled).
Interests
We are willing to try most things once, but generally enjoy typical kiwi activities - hiking, exploring and enjoying a cold beer at the end of the day.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a taster, Shaun is currently reading 'The Beach' (Alex Garland), Anna is reading 'Midnight's Children' (Salman Rushdie). Our music taste is varied (from the Shins, Fleet Foxes, to the Weakerthans and the Ataris). We also love reading and watching anything about economics, society and politics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We have both done quite a bit of travel before - it's fair to say most things are pretty amazing. Home is pretty good too.
Teach, Learn, Share
While we're in Paris, one of our priorities is to learn about French language and culture. We're happy to share our English language and other skills (including our love of general conversation).
