ABOUT ME
I'm a graduate student of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality at the University of Cincinnati. I serve on the board of directors at MoBo Bicycling Cooperative. I am involved in various activist pursuits related to environmental and social justice. I enjoy cooking and have been a vegetarian all my life. I love craft beer, especially IPAs! I also enjoy coffee and have worked as a barista for many years. I love learning, traveling, and new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done a lot of traveling. I once traveled partially across the country on my bicycle and, for the first time in my life, truly relied on the kindness of strangers to help me along the way. My whole life I had been conditioned to fear "strangers" and participate in the culture of distrust, but during my bicycling trip I learned how genuine people can be. Trust your gut, but never be too proud to ask for help when you need it. I met so many people willing to let me set up camp in their backyard, etc. Since that trip I've gone on several cross country road trips (by car), and have always found people willing to let me sleep on their floor or couch, which enabled me (a broke student) to travel without spending money on lodging, and avoiding eating out since many people let me use their kitchens to prepare meals. I like to return that kindness whenever I can. I'm new to couchsurfers but I frequently host guests.
