ABOUT US
We are both 33 years old. I (Anna) met Doug when I was an Au pair in the U.S. in 2009/10. For 3 years we had a long distance relationship and travelled back and forth (USA-Austria). Since 2014 we are a married couple and live in Austria.

WORLDTRIP: July 2016 - March 2017 (greatest adventure of our lives)

NEW ADVENTURE: Mom and Dad since July 2018
We have 3 kids which are keeping us busy.

I think we are a very easy-going, open-minded and relaxed couple. We are living a pretty active and healthy lifestyle. We appreciate what we have, hate to waste things and try to live a environmentally friendly life.

ANNA: Im a very happy and open-minded person. I love meeting people and talking, discussing and philosophizing. Thanks to my tolerant, patient and flexible nature I get along with pretty much everyone. I also love being creative and get really excited and euphoric about cool things. :)
I try to always see the positive in everything and everyone. Humor and laughter are always on my side.
Life is Good! I love being a full-time mom!

DOUG: He is my better half and the type of guy who comes into a room and everybody just loves him. He is very happy, good-hearted and probably the most honest person i know. He means well with everybody and is just so thoughtful. A big guy with a bigger heart! What I also love about him is his sense of humor. He seriously could be a stand up comedian. If you wanna hang out with him, you better put on your running shoes and get ready for some action. He can never sit on his butt for too long.

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting people from foreign countries is always fun! We are really open and interested in different cultures. We love to get in touch with other travelers and locals ... people can make experiences so much better.
After our world trip where we had a lot of great couchsurfing experiences we now wanna give something back to the community by offering our "couch".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
What a great community! We have made a lot of new friends all over the world. Hopefully we will get a chance to see each of them again. Our door will always be open for them. 😃

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

self-guided trekking at an elevation of over 16,000ft, skydiving, petting caimans, tarzan swing, road trips in our VW bus, buying a van in Australia and living in it...
