About Me

Hi!
My name is Anna, I am almost 22 years old and I am originally from a small town close to Braunschweig, but now I am living in the beautiful city of Dresden, where I study International Relations.
As everyone on this platform, I love traveling and meeting new people. I lost part of my heart somewhere between the cornfields in Marion, Iowa and another in the rice fields of Nepal. Two topics that I will never get tired of talking.

I'd describe myself as an open-minded and uncomplicated person, who is always up for something new and a good laugh. I am also really unpretentious and adaptive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people, exchanging stories and getting to see a city through different eyes is for me the best way to experience a city. Due to couchsurfing I already got to draw with glowing bacteria and got the best view on Paris - experiences that you can't plan but that you will cherish forever.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a different playlist to every life situation - I'm a Spotify playlist expert. Techno keeps me dancing the whole night, country takes me right back road trips in the US and I am also an expert when it comes to good German music, believe me, it exists.

I hate to decide which movie to watch and therefore I mostly choose series. But if you ever have a day on which you stay hangover in bed I highly recommend food documentaries.

If you enjoy some good plot twists like I do, read any book from Sebastian Fitzek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught 50 kids in Nepal how to ride a bike and after my five-month stay, they all were proud owners of their bike license (is that only a German thing?). One of my biggest accomplishments.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach you German toasts and the Jägermeister poem.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If possible , I'll bring you German beer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, France, India, Italy, Laos, Mexico, Nepal, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
