Two kids living abroad and beyond, looking to meet inspired people, and help cultivate a culture of accountability!

ABOUT ME

We are a married couple currently living in Berlin but our hearts lie in rural Florida. We will be living here for another few months until the middle of July so if you need a couch just send us a message and if we are in town hopefully we can meet you.

We dream of a place and time where all individuals, with the love and support from others, can self actualize and become the best person they can be. At the very least, we are starting with ourselves!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is simple. Even if it seems complicated, it is not. Live truthfully, love others, and cultivate compassion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well we are still pretty new to CS, but we certainly plan to get more involved! Need a couch or maybe a bike to borrow? Let us know and we'd be be glad to help!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have only met people on our travels that have been couch surfing (aside from friends) and have yet to surf ourselves. But we are eager to meet others from the community!

Interessen

Making, listening to, and learning how to play music (Ukulele, Bass, Violin, Harmonica, Jaw Harp), Planting and eating from our own vegetable gardens, Nature, Cooking, Midwifery, Movies, Reading books/poetry, Journaling, Dancing, Meditation, Yoga, Yerba mate, Traveling (of course), Living mindfully, Swimming, Enjoying the outdoors (cycling, hiking, picnicking, going on long walks, camping), Family, Language, Animals!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: Mofro, Chris Thile, Steel Drivers, Abigail Washburn, Rufus Wainwright,... Bluegrass, Blues, Folk, and the lot. We are also big on MoTown, Jazz, Classical, World Music, etc. So basically, we will enjoy all of it as long as it isn't someone screaming! :)

Movies: We have not had a TV for about a decade but we are movie buffs nonetheless! Too many to list, but I can say we are big on Wes Anderson, Spielberg, Tarantino, Scorsese, and Gus Van Sant films!

Books: Anna loves books. She is the reader in this relationship! She enjoys everything from classic literature to biographies to fiction. Tell her what you're reading- she's always looking to add to her list!

Mark: Running with the bulls in Pamplona; Playing Verdi's Requiem in Berlin's premiere konzerthaus; Operating 10-ton tractor rigs at work; Building a 4.5-meter teeter totter (see-saw)

Anna: Rounding a corner on the Himalayan trails and looking up to see Everest's peak dominating the sky; Attending my best friend's home birth; Hitch hiking in Bosnia and meeting the kindest people in the world; Giving and receiving love

Both: Finding our life partner!; Standing in the shadows of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, then getting chased by young bulls; Surviving the high seas between Koh Adang and Langkawi; Walking through the tunnels of an underground city in Cappadocia

We strive to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. Every day is a blessing!
