ABOUT ME

My name is Anna Vendrell, I am twenty years old and I live in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Catalonia, Spain.
I consider myself ambitious in the good sense of the word. I want to achieve things, but these are personal dreams, not really material things.
I have to confess, however, that sometimes I'm a fuck-up. I try to be honest, honorable, pragmatic, smart, hard-working and still not a complete bore...But I get easily stressed-out and it's not unusual to see me bursting in tears for foolishnesses. I think I am quite a good person, just a little bit tangled-up minded, sometimes.

PHILOSOPHY

Act the way you want to be, and soon, you'll be the way you act...that's what I wish it was my philosphy, but I'm just learning to live, so I suppose that my true philosophy right now is: I want, just, be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed and, obviously then, been hosted all over UK, in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Bristol. I have never hosted myself, but I plan to do so in my new shared flat in Barcelona from sptember on. And I am currently looking for somewhere to stay in Bucharest, Romania

Interests

There is something that is my dream, my mission in life, and that is becoming an actress. Consequently, my one great interest in the world is theatre. I like performing and I like seeing performances of all kinds. I would be up for a play in an official theatre and also for going to see a street show or a en experimental dance company. I do like movies too, but I am not as into cinema as i am into theatre.
Among my hobbies, one of the most important ones is reading. I prefer fiction, both novels and short stories- I like many different kinds of genres, but "youth novels" (I mean things like "The catcher in the rye"), well-writen science fiction (Ray Bradbury's, for example), and contemporary japanese literature (Hiromi Kawakami and Banana Yoshimoto, I don't know why, but everything I read from them moves me)are some of my crushes. I like poetry, at least the few poets I've read, but it's more difficult to start reading poetry.
Although I don't think that drawing is a hobby of mine, it is true that once in a while, when I have free time, I like spending it completing a comic book I started few years ago, and I would be charmed to do any artistic activity anyone suggested me.
I don't practice any team soprt, but I am sporty in the sense that I need to move, and some exercise. I really like dancing (both learning how to dance and dancing wildly in parties)and I am interested in martial arts and trekking. If I am interested in trekking is because I'm a monitor, and I have been a kid in a scouts group, the GEB, aka Cau de Bellaterra, and I am used to spent weeks in the mountain, enjoying nature, sweat and tin food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been on Pica d'Estats, the highest mountain in the catalan Pyrinees, on a very foggy day, an finsihed climbing it.
Once I spoke to a lady in the night bus pretending I was Blanche DuBois, because I was taking the entrance exams to an acting school and I felt that I was training awfully and needed something that proved I had created my own, realistic Blanche.
Some night last year I went out dressed up like a green fairy.
And, also, I have recently done raffting. I'd never tried any adventure sports before, it was very exciting.
