About Me
ABOUT THE HOUSE
This is more than a house, this is a community. We are looking for people who want more than a bed to sleep in, we want humans who want to be present, contribute and co-create with us. If you are interested, please tell us more about what you hope to get out of your stay. We hope to use couchsurfing to bring amazing humans through our house and always have travelers, musicians, builders, artists, and cooks flowing through the space.
ABOUT ANNA
I was born in Kiev, Ukraine and moved to Canada at the age of three. I spent most of my adult life in San Francisco where I lived in hippie communes and learned to code. I'm passionate about community and living with intention. After leaving my job at a big tech company to pursue a lifestyle I found more meaningful, I traveled and discovered intentional communities around the world, lived in vans in three separate countries and landed in Oceania. I helped start this 10 person community in Christchurch that I'm hoping to see flourish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's an easy way to connect with other humans and share experiences. I love being surrounded by people and want to spread communal living. I hope to use couchsurfing to bring new faces to our community and co-create a space of authenticity and belonging.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. Some of my favorite books are Slaughterhouse 5, The Foundation series, Three Body Problem trilogy, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I'm mostly into old music like classic rock and shamelessly cheesy disco music. Some melodic house and love grovy/funky electronic music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to compete internationally for Canada playing water polo and got a scholarship to play at Stanford.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love talking about community. If communal living interests you at all, I could talk for ages about my experience visiting various communities around the world and how they organize.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Adventures, connection and great conversation. Love cooking together/ for people.
