About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make some friends and CS connections for future surfing!
ABOUT ME
Hey! I'm Ana, I'm 25 years old and I'm very chatty. I love making new friends and having fun. I'm engaged to a wonderful bloke, who happens to be a lot of fun as well!
We have two dogs and a HUGE couch. Since we've only just moved to a new place, we're still making some adjustments, so we can't really host anyone right now. But we'd love to make plans for the future!
We love to travel, specially to english-speaking countries, because I work primarily with translation. I'm interested in hosting spanish speakers as well to practice my hearing skills, but my spanish sucks, so i don't use it AT ALL (so i won't embarrass myself! LOL)
I work from home at my office, so you'll have plenty of company if you choose to stay in and chat about Brazil and our culture.
If you don't like pets, I'm afraid our couch won't suit you :( Our dogs are residents at our house as well, so we don't lock them away for surfers or for anyone else ;)
We don't live in a mansion and we're not rich, but I'm pretty sure you'll find that we've got anything you need to spend some time in Rio and find out more about Brazil.
** General information about Brazil **
We DON'T have monkeys jumping around as foreign people might think. LOL! Actually, we are very nice people, who love to have fun and welcome anyone who'd like to get to know our city. Our fashion is really awesome, our music is fun and our women are so gorgeous - no wonder most of Victoria's Secret models are brazilian ^^ (Girls, our guys are kinda cute too, don't feel left out! lol)
But Brazil has some issues with violence, so keep your valuables hidden in your couch when you decide to go out and about.
PHILOSOPHY
I have some personal philosophies: life is too short to mope around, complaining about stuff. We should try to spend our days having fun, making friends and doing things that will make us proud of our existence. We should see as many places and people as we can in our spare time or dedicate ourselves to evolve, grow and mature. Carpe diem and noctem as well! =)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only hosted one couchsurfer so far - Sara - and we've kept in touch all this time. I've visited her in Vegas some time later and I feel that I got really lucky to have had such an awesome experience so early after creating my profile.
Interests
I love talking, making new friends, going out, reading, watching series, surfing the web, working, working, working - did I mention working? - and spending time with nice people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have much time for reading, but I mostly read blogs and comics. I like comedies, sitcoms and series in general. I like all kinds of music (but oddly enough, i don't really like most of our brazilian rhythms Oo).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

and my personal accomplishments, that amaze me everyday!
Teach, Learn, Share
"Right now, my teaching skills are a little limited. I'm not sure what I can teach or learn thru here. I'll fill this in later in the future, ok? ;)"
This was the first thing I wrote on here when I first signed up. Three years later, I still feel like I have SO much to learn, but also a lot to teach. About my country, my profession and life in general. That's actually why I became a blogger - to give something back. And I'll gladly do that as well for all CSs we are able to host.
