About Me

When not working as a journalist/graphic designer, you'll find me at a Brussels flea market - or travelling.
I love to hike, reuse old objects, record sound, light and images. A dreamy concert, a deep dive, a brilliant piece of street art, a fantasy novel, a bottle of rum, a mesmerizing bonfire: you'll make me happy with any of those.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a host, I hope to welcome couchsurfers at my place to have a coffee, give some handy information about the cities I live in or share my home. As a surfer, I like to discover what is behind all the closed doors we find on our path and see if maybe, someone opens one for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed some couches when travelling around Latin America, Jordan, Iran and Mauritania.

Interests

In a nutshell, I'm a big fan of the accidental or random moments in life.
Reading and writing. Modern Art. Other languages. Social problems, environmental issues. Cultures and traditions. Photography & film.

Music, Movies, and Books

El laberinto del fauno, I'm not There, El orfenato, Control, Ajami, L'illusioniste, Juno, Ciudade de Dios, Black cat White cat, Slumdog Millionaire, ...

Robert Jordan, Kerri Smith, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Carlos Ruiz Safon, Isabel Allende, Jonathan Safran Foer, Jodi Picoult, Jean-Marie Blas de Roblès and others

I'm always extremely outdated when it comes to music. But I like rock, reggae, hiphop, the occational pop hit ... hell, if the mood's right (and/or nobody's listening), I'll even sing along some reggaeton songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping of cliffs (I'm terrified of hights) and breaking the speed limit on "the world's most dangerous road" on a mountainbike, writing stories in Rwanda and embarking on solotrips to Latin-America, Jordan and Mauritania.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good with languages, but I can definitely learn a lot more. I'm a graphic designer, I take pictures, film and make (kinetic typography) videos, write. So if you are interested in any of these subjects, I can probably teach you some tricks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a good cook, but you can use the kitchen. I won't charge you for the wifi and there's always hot water.
