About Me

Hey! We are 2 (two)!

That is, Anna Ferenczy and Márk Kemény from Hungary, and we've just got married!

Anna
is a girl, who has three sisters (imagine, a dad and five ladies at home! Crazy!!)
[hey Márk, it is not true!]
I've just finished my mechanical engineering MA studies, so I'm already working in this field.
Foreign cultures are super interesting for me, but Oh boy! how I hate learning languages, too much vocab to learn! That's why I got this boyfriend of mine to do the talking :D so that my only task is to get impressed by them (the cultures).
No worries, my curiosity doesn't let me be silent and always pushes me to use my English and get international!

Márk
is a guy, who studies interpreting and translation at the university plus works besides it, to win some bread.
For around 10 years I've been living in dorm, that means I'm adaptable. For me, languages is one of the most interesting stuff, to learn, no, rather to use, speak it, understand it. That's why I've always been learning different languages. (I feel I'm getting boring here, so I may stop for the first go.)
What else? I've lived in some countries, nothing was so cool than living in Hungary, with Anna.

The things we like to dance, talk, listen, do sports, go to theatre (but I hate how expensive the tickets are! Seriously, why do you do that, Theatre?!), stuff like most of the people, really, and that makes us simple normal people.
I guess we are not a big deal, but it's cool, I actually like us very much. (And this doesn't mean we are not unique! :D )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because of experiencing from first hand. Than's why.

Interests

Anna sais that stones, pebbles, stars are interesting. She likes to cook, and also to play Tetris in the fridge, so that everything goes to it's place, and you don't have vegetables rot in there. Also, she likes colorful socks, with chickens and falling girls and pigs and stripes and yellow! And she likes rain, from the window not being in it. Okay maybe sometimes, sometimes it's good, too.
And Christmas trees, but it has to be high!

Márk didn't say anything, so I have to do it for him. He likes to listen to audiobooks while sitting on the tram, or any other means of transport. He takes random photos about random himself and draws funny stickers, better than on Facebook [oh how I'm blushing right now!]. He is interested in painting or drawing on, or tie-dying T-shirts. Also, he likes colorful socks, with colorful pattern, colorful lines, and colorful curves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(Btw, the countries listed under, we didn't see a lot, usually one or two cities, sure we need to travel more!)

After a bottle of Port wine we stood in front of the Atlantic Ocean and shouted our national anthem into the water. Unfortunately the Ocean was rather disrespectful and didn't listen to us, The least it did was waving. I'm afraid it didn't understand Hungarian.

And we have a piece of white cloth, we draw our most memorable memories on it and we really like it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anna had been dancing Hungarian folk dance for 18 years, wanna try?
Márk had been dancing Hungarian folk dance for 1 year in 1st grade...

After a certain level of alc... so we can teach Hungarian folk songs, too :D

Teaching and learning real stuff comes with talk, conversation, interaction, getting together. We don't even know what we could teach and learn, it depends on the situation, and this, we think, is truly fascinating.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our playfulness, love for life, curiosity, colorful socks on our feet, memories, interests, our personalities, our listening.

We have a lot of place to be filled up and we got a lot to share.
