CURRENT MISSION
To be a rolling stone, but not alone and lost!
ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Anna. I aspire to be a well-known and respected banjo and guitar player but if that falls through, I'll pursue a career in Resource Management, specifically forestry. Maybe I'll do both. I live with an old highschool friend. Together we eat food, explore the city and make merry. I travel by bike partially out of necessity and partially to learn the ins, outs and hideouts of the city. I enjoy spontaneity, adventure and artistic expression.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life with utmost integrity to myself and others. I challenge myself to make the most of this experience on earth and am always willing to learn new ways of thinking or having a good time. I want to make a positive change while doing something to enjoy. I want to work to live, not live to work.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am just beginning to get involved in the community. I do not have a lot of space to offer, but what I have, I will. I am also more than willing to show someone around town for the day.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When on tour or in-between living situations I have been a tidy and respectful guest on several couches. I enjoy nesting, however temporarily, in new spaces and getting insight into other people's homes/experiences. On route to Cleveland, my boyfriend and I stayed in a room where a cat had peed. In Toronto, I stayed at a house and stayed up all night playing Risk 2010 AD. You never know what you're going to get.
Centres d'intérêt
I love dancing, eating, reading, biking, drinking, swimming, so many things... it would be easier to list things that I'm not interested in: Going to box malls, going to a new city and staying inside my room, ...that might be it.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I like campy and cult classic films like Wayne's World and I really enjoy drawn out, pensive, beautiful art films. I like things that push borders, like Dogma film or Jaques Tatu. I enjoy music with soul and inventiveness, mainly. Tortoise, Dirty Projectors, Chad Vangaalen, Wilco, The Byrds, it's very broad but not at the same time. I've been reading a lot of non-fiction like 'the geography of hope' by Chris Turner. I'm currently reading about linguistics, a book called 'the social art'.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
One amazing thing that I've gotten to do was actually practically in my own backyard. In Collingwood, ON, there is a treehiking facility. i climbed a ladder onto a platform where I was harnessed and clipped to a rope above me. From that point on, I had to walk on single 8" or so planks that eventually rose 60 ft in the air. It was a beautiful walk through the canopy of the forest with a 300ft zip line at the end to get down. It wasn't scary at all.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I can teach basic guitar, musical theory, I just learned how to make soup, I can teach someone how to read a map, how to be patient.
