ABOUT ME

I'm a happy, open-minded, somtimes quiet travel addict who is passionate about all kinds of outdoor activities, food markets, foreign languages, and having a good time with friends from home and abroad. I have a rough idea where I'm headed at the moment but life might take me somewhere completely else in the long-term. So instead of planning each step of my way, I keep an open mind because in the end things will usually fall into place and turn out great. "Es ist wie es ist, und es kommt wie es kommt" (It is what it is and it will be what it will be).

I've ended up at the most amazing places, had interesting conversations, and got to discover places off the beaten path. Staying with locals when I'm on the road and showing travelers around when I'm back home is the best way to learn about other countries.

"The mountains are calling and I must go." I love the outdoors, especially in fall and winter - hiking, running, exploring...
good wine/food/coffee, spending time with friends and reuniting with those from abroad, cooking, learning/speaking/discussing/analyzing foreign languages, laughing, long walks, spontaneous roadtrips, counting shooting stars, night swims in a lake, playing in the snow like a kid, randomly discovering new places around me, endorphin highs and wow moments
