About Me

I’m a 20 year old journalism and international relations student from a small town an hour south of Adelaide, South Australia! In the last half of 2017 I studied and lived in Milan, Italy, for a erasmus exchange. During those 5 months I explored a lot of Italy and absolutely fell in love with the country. Since the beginning of 2018 I’ve been backpacking around Europe - travelling and volunteering.

While overseas, my ultimate goal is to meet great people and explore/chat/connect with other travellers and locals. I’ve met so many great people in a short time already and I’ve realised that’s what travelling is all about. The sights are incredible but they come secondary to the connections you make with people from all over the world. I can promise you that I’m clean, respectable, super-friendly and up for a good conversation! Of course, when I return to Australia, people will be welcome in my homes too.

I know I don’t have many reviews yet, but I have couchsurfed many times with friends, friends of friends, or distant connections people have put me in touch with, and each time it’s been a wonderful experience and for both me and my hosts. I hope that whoever’s reading this will give me a chance to gain some more good reviews!

I’m from the McLaren Vale wine region - famous for its red wines, and surrounded by the most amazing produce of all kinds. The coastline is incredible; google Port Willunga, Second Valley and Kangaroo Island if you haven’t heard of them before. It's less than an hour drive to Adelaide; a small, beautiful city rich in art, festivals and culture. I usually spend a lot of time at the beach, as well as hiking, camping and travelling. I’m obsessed with coffee too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, especially indie rock, folk, acoustic. Movies aren’t really my thing but I love TV shows like Game of Thrones, Vikings and Outlander. I love books; anything historical/war genre especially. 1984 by George Orwell is my favourite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love hiking! Some amazing ones I’ve done are the ‘Path of the Gods’ along the Amalfi Coast (in torrential rain), Mount Castellazzo (Rolle Pass) in the Dolomites, Pliješevica Mountain on the border of Croatia and Bosnia, and a bit of the Ceredigion Coastal Path in Wales.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve learnt a little bit of Italian but I’d love to learn more. Happy to help teach English too. I'd also love to cook you a meal or two!
