Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I've had three great experiences couch surfing with friends who have organised it so I've decided to create my own profile!

I prefer to meet locals and have a different experience to your standard hostel/hotel experience (and maybe I feel a bit old and cranky for hostels?) so I prefer airbnb, WWOOFing/Workaway and, now, couch surfing. I think I've been to a few interesting places and do some interesting things for work so it's nice to be able to exchange stories and experiences with new people. And I must admit, I do love perusing the site "meeting" different people.

Interests

Everything french, Asian food, travel, engineering feats. (I looove the Öresund Bridge/Tunnel spanning the Øresund Strait between Denmark and Sweden).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One? Why only one? Here's a few...

- Dog sledding and seeing the northern lights in Kiruna, Sweden was unbelievable. - The midnight sun in Iceland
- Living & working on a foie gras farm for one month in Puy l'Évêque to expose myself to something, typically, quite confronting.
- Living & working on an organic goats cheese farm near Ferrals-Les-Montagnes in the South of France. I learnt how to milk a goat and make french cheese!
