About Me

I'm hosting, but not regularly or anything, just when I randomly feel like.
Write the word 'Sea' in your request.

Other than discovering things, I enjoy long conversations (boy, I can talk a lot), late-night bike-rides, live music and weird people. I hate gummy bears. I don't know why you should know that though.

In the past 7 month I've been living around the world, and that meant trying a lot of things by myself. I'm glad that happened because now I'm okay doing whatever alone, which I think makes others feel comfortable around me too.

See the rest for yourself, I really don't want to list here how fun and amazing I am :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me traveling means stepping out of your comfort zone and by doing so, you are also expanding it. I am generally intrested in people, all the more people from other countries. Plus I always appreciate a good conversation over some wine (or beer). Everyone has thousands of stories worth listening to.

Couchsurfing is not about a free stay but the people you meet. It also helped me a great deal in learning how to make friends with a much broader range of people than I would have done otherwise.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's nothing better than a concert, so I'm always up for those regardless the genre, but nowdays I mostly listen to surf rock from the '60s, some psychedelic/progressive/experimental and stoner metal. There's a good chance I will invite you to a concert of a local band if you stay at my place, so brace yourself! Lots of young Hungarian bands on the rise playing quality music.
As for books, I love Salman Rushdie, Kipling, Tolkien, Chuck Palahniuk, Hunter S. Thompson, Thomas Pynchon, José Saramago, beat generation writers and the classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Overcoming my social anxiety (it's an ongoing project though :D)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been living in Budapest for six or so years now, and honestly, I still discover something new every day. But by now I think I can say I have found some pretty cool places to show, hidden shops with the weirdest clothes, tiny speciality cafes, some freaky bars, etc. Oh and I know where to buy the best ice-cream and drunk food in town!
(Just please don't make me do all those things on Sunday, I'm totally lost in the city on Sundays, never know what's open.)

I can teach you some fun games to play with friends, show you some vegetarian recipes or teach you the basics of longboarding. Would love to learn juggling, slacklining, paragliding, photography but most of all surfing. Or teach me something you are good at.

If you come to my place, I'm up for discovering something in the city that's new even for me and for having some drinks in the evening.

When abroad I want to experience the local ways, a walk, a hike, a temple, a market or a night club, whatever you would normally do. Or just the opposite, let's do something new! But I'm okay with spending time by myself if you are busy.
