About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live, learn and laugh in the greater world!
ABOUT ME
I'm currently studying social anthropology at St Andrews in Scotland but I like to get away and see the world whenever I can. I'm fascinated by different cultures and ways of life so for me couchsurfing is the perfect way to explore these interests with the added bonus of being part of a organisation which promotes such strong and important values. Last year I went volunteering, busking and couchsurfing around Europe, an amazing experience which gave me many stories to tell and memories to cherish. I sing in a few bands, love music and meeting new and interesting people from all different parts of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was staying in Berlin couch surfing was an amazing way to meet like-minded people and get together with other travelers in the most bizarre circumstances. We organised our town couchsurfing tea party at our flat and met some amazing people who we are still friends with to this day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Barton Fink, The Graduate, The Illusionist, O Brother Where Art Thou, (and I'm not going to pretend I don't love watching Love Actually every Christmas!)
Anais Mitchell, Peter Broderick, Laura Marling, Lisa Hannigan, Willy Mason, Stornoway, Devotchka, Villagers. I particularly like folk music and gospel as well as many local unsigned bands.
I love Jonathan Safran Foer's books, I also love Wuthering Heights, Master and Margarita, Empire of the Sun, etc.
Although, when asked, I always forget the names of all the bands, books and films I like to this probably isn't a very accurate portrayal!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed at a buffalo farm in Ukraine, getting there involved getting lost in rural countryside in the middle of the night, hitchhiking, getting lost again. While there we walked around the local villages to see beautiful wooden churches that were hundreds of years old.
