About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to think of my life as naturally evolving adventure, rather than a mission!!

ABOUT ME

I'm laidback (but not in the lazy, smelly and untidy sense). During the week I like to behave myself, work hard, go to circus training, eat salad and empty the dishwasher. At the weekends I like to dance like I'm on fire and wake up on the kitchen floor (ideally dressed as some kind of carnival animal and/or covered in fake blood).

PHILOSOPHY

It's all about having 'the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom always to tell the difference' (Kurt Vonnegut), combined with a bit of 'peace, love and happiness' (Hippies).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

by offering my sofa services when possible, and making the best of them when provided.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im fairly new to the whole couchsurfing thing, but thats something I definately want to change - all my experiences have been truely delightful so far, and bordering on life changing in some cases! Its great to get the chance to find out what life is really like in a place, and meet some new weird and wonderful people.

Interests

I love music in all forms - going to gigs and festivals, dancing all night long, playing guitar round a fire, or just sitting on a train watching the world go by listening to my ipod.
I love the circus, and spend a lot of my time in London doing aerial circus training (rope and silks) - good for the adrenalin rush, and to keep fit, and I think that hanging off things is an essential life skill!
I love making things - my own clothes, fancy dress outfits for festivals and parties, costumes for carnivals, my current bunk bed, rope swings in the park, and the odd den in the living room when me and my housmates are having a lazy sunday!
I love good food - making big feasts for friends, eating something youve never tasted before but love, smelling a chocolate pudding on its way to your table!

Music, Movies, and Books

The favourite book I own is The Arrival by Shaun Tan, but its got no words, just beautiful illustrations, so not sure if that counts!?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last night I saw a beautiful fox walking down an empty snow covered street just by my house in central London, that was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to exchange anything except bodily fluids, which could include some costume making, aerial circus, spanish or cooking skills (although us Brits are not renowned for our cuisine!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, China, Guyana, Mongolia, Russian Federation, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago
