ABOUT ME
Ciao! I'm Anna, a cheerful 34 year old.
I live in Italy, in a lovely place by the sea, on the heel of Italy, Taranto.
I love learning about new people and all cultures, travelling to far places, writing, photographing, music, reading, art.
PHILOSOPHY
"We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next, to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more".
(Pico Iyer, Why We Travel)
"Open your mind, don't cry, enjoy the new, corroborate old friends, fall in love with the new ones, listen the sounds, follow the instinct, stop yourself, talk with the nature, reach your own limit, smile to the future, take your time, feel the wind, have respect, TRAVEL, everything is gonna be alright".
"I love the idea of an exciting journey that never ends, filled with colour energy and people smiling - what could be better?"
"Narrare è come viaggiare attraverso le storie, le culture, i popoli.
Chi viaggia incontra persone, identità, oggetti.
Chi viaggia insegue i sogni e le meraviglie della vita.
Chi viaggia conosce, apprende e sa poi raccontare.
Viaggiare, quindi, è come narrare.
Viaggiare non solo apre la mente, ma le dà forma".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer a place to feel confortable and keep all energy to visit my city. We'll walk around the city. Taranto was the capital of Magna Grecia, so I'll show traditional stuff, food and wines, trulli houses, contemporary graffiti walls. I'll introduce you some of my friends to have a glass of Primitivo wine and a plate of typical 'orecchiette' pasta self made. I'll suggest you my personalized 'food map' and 10 things to do in Taranto for free :) you can't leave my place not knowing some dialect phrases!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have started CS when I was in Brighton, and I found it amazing! I met lots of interesting people, for this reason I love CS!
Interests
I do like quality, organic and creative food (when I was in England I made Italian cooking lessons), holistic wellness, poetry, photography and art. I am interested in personal development and understanding of human life experience. I love travelling (of course!). I am Unicef volunteer.
