About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Every story has it's sunny side - if you don't see that, I hope other people will open your eyes

ABOUT ME

People know me as a very social person, always up for meeting friends and new people. They can always call me for dinner, baking cakes, planning trips to European cities, staying up late.. But I also have a big dvd and book collection - they can always ask me for advise on movies or literature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Coffee. And sometimes I can host people, but you have to realize that the requests for Amsterdam are countless and I live with other people, so I won't be able to accept many. But I can always recommend bars, cinemas, parks, shops, shows...

Interests

I'm a happy person, living in Amsterdam, working as tour guide, studying journalism, enjoying the freedom I have. Drinking lots of coffee, losing track of time in bars, making friends all over the world, running in the park, cycling through the countryside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The National, Coldplay, Foals, Mumford and Sons, Ane Brun, Regina Spektor etc.

Books: Jonathan Franzen, Freedom. Dave Eggers, Zeitoun. Esther Freud, Love Falls. Haruki Marukami, Norwegian Wood etc.

Movies: Sometimes I'm into 'good' movies like Magnolia, Mar adentro, La meglio gioventu, Control, The diving bell and the butterfly, but other days it's just irresistible to watch the Sound of Music, Bridget Jones or Notting Hill for the 20th time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a volcano in Chile when I was 18 - before that moment I'd always thought I would be afraid of such great heights. Found a room right next to Amsterdam's biggest tourist attraction - the Anne Frank House. So for the last 2,5 years I've seen tourists all the time - they remind me of the possibility to escape your home town every once in a while.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, China, Peru, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
