About Me
I'm from Brazil, passionate about Latin America, and going on a short vacation to Italy. I studied economics in Brazil and Argentina, and history in France. I’ve started my professional life working as a management consultant, and for 4 years now I've been in the audiovisual industry, currently working at a production company in Brazil. In September I'll move to California to pursue an MFA in film creative producing.
During my work time I also lived in Peru and Colombia - I really love travelling and changing my surroundings
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling, and the possibility to stay at a local's house changes a lot your trip experience: you are able to connect better with the place you're visiting and with the people. And every now and then you get to know someone really amazing.
By now I've had already three couchsurfing experiences:
- Strasbourg: I spent 4 days there with a very nice lady, Lydie. She showed me so many things about the French culture that I could never imagine to learn in a trip. We cooked together, watched movies and series, went shopping together. Once a month she uses to go to Paris, and we continued meeting (I lived there at that time).
- Nice: a friend and I stayed at Angelo's place for a couple of days. He showed us around, we made dinner together and it was a really interesting cultural exchange (he was Italian and my friend was British).
- Marseille: with my same Birtish friend we stayed two days at Luke's place. During the day we did some sightseeing, and he took us out during the evening. Lots of fun discussing all sort of topics, and we even got some free clothes that other couchsurfers had left at his place.
Interests
I'm interested in almost everything, 'cause we always have to try new stuff to decide if we like it or not. I really like trekking and adventure sports, going to concerts (famous bands/singers and classical music), doing cultural stuff in general (museums, street music and art, jazz bars), discovering neighborhoods, going to bars, and eating.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: commercial music when I go out to clubs, classical music every now and then, samba and bossa nova always, indie rock..., a bit of everything
Movies: my favorite one is "Wild Tales" from Argentinian Damián Szifrón
Books: I love book stores and discovering intrigant book titles. I'm really into Latin Americans writers (Vargas Llosa, García Marquez, Neruda, Machado de Assis), and totally in love with Elena Ferrante's books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing up Mount Sinai to see the sunrise.
