Hello there! I'm Anna :)

I'm a Computer Engineering student here in the south of Brazil, trying to find my place in the world like every other millennial hahah
I'm a vegan and I'm trying to follow a minimalist lifestyle. I also enjoy moving my body either dancing ballet, doing some pilates or playing volleyball by the beach with friends :P
I just love to meet new people with their own passions and experiences, and to talk about everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived a year abroad in Dublin as a student, and I had the opportunity of meeting so many incredible people around Europe that is a shame I can't do this in my home town. So I expect Couchsurfing to bring me some of that joy of travelling I used to have without travelling haha

Interests

I've studied Software Development and now Computer Engineering, so I'm really into technology.
I'm also a very human person, I love psychology, history and antropology as well, even though I've never studied none of that, I love to talk about it.
In general, I can discuss any subjects, as long as both parts involved in the conversation are open about different opinions and point of views :)

I used to dance ballet and was very passionate about it, but unfortunatelly adult life got me. Nowadays I (try to) practice other types of exercises like pilates, yoga, calisthenics, sports like volleyball, and I go to the gym when I can. I found this activities very important to me to keep some mental health.

I'm crazy about animals! I have one adopted puppy named Preta, my mom have four little dogs in her house in which I lived until last year, and I grew up next to my grandmother who has more than thirty dogs and some cats. I love them all, and most of them has been saved from the streets. One of my dreams is to create an ONG to help abandoned pets like my grandma always did. Because of this love for animals I decided to became a vegetarian 2 years ago, and then vegan, which is also for my health and the health of our planet. I love to cook for friends, and to talk about nature and our lives :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love lots of kind of music, but some of my all time favorite are: Pearl Jam, McFly, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Panic at the Disco, Fall out Boy, Pink Floyd, U2, The Beatles, Kings of Leon, Hozier, Shakira, Lorde, Adele, and many more.

My top favorites TV series are: Breaking Bad, Black Mirror, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, Skins, Sons of Anarchy, Sherlock, Orange is the New Black, Gossip Girl, Sense8, Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Anne, Suits, Stranger Things, Dear White People and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ice skating at the Tower Eiffel on New Year's Eve. That was my first time ice skating and first time in Paris, it was awesome! My jeans have an amazing memory as well right on the knee! haha
Moving abroad to spend a whole year without thinking twice was also incredible, and it's a big part of who I am now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach some portuguese to my foreigner hosts, and share information about the Brazilian culture. We could do a yoga and stretching sesh together! And I certainly could cook some delicious vegan meals for us all :)
I can be a very communicative person, so after all I can offer some good time of talking, sharing experiences and dreams. I also would enjoy very much to feel helpful if needed with the house, garden, pets, hobbies and any other area.
