About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling and meet or host other travelers as a way to experience life and culture.

Couchsurfing is not about having a couch/bed to sleep but it is sharing stories, culture, food etc. It is sharing a part of you to a stranger who could give you a different point of view about life. In order to grasp a bit more of their culture and differences I prefer to have people for a couple of nights, best if over the weekend. Time tends to be not enough when people leave the followin day... (and honestly... my house is not a hotel!)

However, after a few bad experiences I have to add a few more things...

1. no freeloaders please: I do not ask for money, but I expect that those who are hosted contribute as they can (at least to the meals, if eaten at home), since there is a huge difference between help and exploit someone.. I'm not charity organisation. I don't go to work to support surfers: if I'd have to provide everything to everyone I'll end up broke with no money for myself.
If you're looking for it go to a place like that.

2.I know I shouldn't be saying this... But guys please wash up before sleeping... I had people reeking of sweat who refused to take a shower even when bath supplies and towels were offered... the house smelled for a day and a half.... this is really rude...

3. I have a cat who lives indoor with me. His food is in the room where surfers sleep (so the door can't be completely shut at night) .There might be some mess or some fur around as the cat is alive and not a toy.. Even if u clean up, if he wants to get on the sofa to be pet he'll leave fur on the sofa.. My house is not a hotel, I don't have nor can afford cleaning ladies who can come to clean n tidy up the place for me.. I try to do the best I can with the spare time I got.

4. I would strongly advise the surfers to ask me for hospitality only once they have already decided and planned to stay in the city I'm living. I really hate and despise those who ask in advance without any real will of coming or staying. I might end up refusing somebody who actually needed a place just because people were just interested to stay over. This is not fair for this kind of community.
Since this happened more than once, from now on, those who get accepted but cancel because "the stop was not doable" or for similar reasons are gonna get a negative review.

5. Do not ask me to stay home when I'm not home myself... I am not comfortable with it... If something happens while I'm away and the surfer is inside I won't be able to deal with the issue right on the spot and things might get even more complicated later... Furthermore... My house is not a hotel or a hostel where people can come and go as they please.

If these are an issue, I apologise, but maybe it's better for you to go elsewhere (an other host, or a bnb/hostel/hotel and so on would probably be the best option for you)

It's mandatory to be respectful and not to see my house as a free hotel room or as charity.

I would also strongly advise to ask me for hospitality only if you are really willing to come. It really pisses me off seeing people who get accepted by me and then decide to stay elsewhere without giving explanations and just stating that they were not coming any longer, those are not reliable and do not deserve to be hosted. They will get a negative review. Thanks

This account is temporarily not available for replies due to the new restrictions applied by couchsurfing. If you are still looking to be hosted please leave me a message with your phone number and/or text me @ +393515085904

I also recently opened two YouTube channels, with travel as a main topic. If you're looking for some travel tips, usual and unusual places to go or visit in Parma, but also through Italy and Europe, feel free to watch it.

Sorry about this guys but I really do not agree with the couchsurfing policy any longer.

If you're looking for someone to hangout or a host SEND ME A WHATSAPP MESSAGE. I am not usally here and won't be able to reply back.
